Johnny Marr Illustrations
This gallery is composed of a series of illustrations I have voluntarily done for ex-Smiths' guitarist, Johnny Marr's autobiography, Set The Boy Free, as well as comics and doodles I post regularly on an Instagram account (@artofmarr). I do these as explorations in style, as well as to contribute to a community of dedicated fans of the guitarist, all of who are both supportive and creative themselves.

A few of my illustrations were featured in a 6 page spread for a Johnny Marr fanzine (called Dynamic), run by a duo group called JohnnyMarvellous. The edition the illustrations were featured in was specially focused on his newly published book, Set The Boy Free, and were made as scenes described by the guitarist himself. To see the full fanzine edition, see here.
RECENT PROJECT: CHARITY MUGS
Recently, I had the opportunity to design a mug for a charity fundraiser. Working closely with the two women who run Johnny Marrvellous as well as another artist by the name of Catherine Smith, I became part of the Johnny Marrvellous Artists Collective and we introduced our first project of many to support causes and organisations that are important to both Johnny and ourselves.

I went with something humorous for my design, referencing Marr's own favourite motto, "Don't be a dick." On the other side is an illustration of two eras of Marr in profile, both recognizable to fans as a "Smiths era" and a "modern era" Johnny Marr.

They will be available for purchase in mid December. All proceeds from the mug project will be donated to Johnny's personal choice of charity: the Brentwood School, a special education school in Trafford.
